at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore
The ReStore is open Wednesday to Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday 10:00am to 4:00pm. Volunteers are welcome 10:00am to 4:00pm, Tuesday to Saturday. When the ReStore is open, most volunteer opportunities are geared towards the individual, providing flexibility and are available in two-hour shifts.
As a volunteer, you will work with our ReStore associates in a retail-based setting that provides home improvement solutions at a reduced price to the community. Profits from the ReStore fund our housing programs which operate throughout Sheboygan County.
ReStore Volunteer Roles:
Cashier
Cashiers operate the register and greet customers as they enter the store, and respond to customer questions. Good communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude are a must for this position.
Donation Pick-up Assistant
The Donation Pick-up Assistant rides as a passenger with our Donations Ambassador in the ReStore box truck. They assist with loading and unloading items from residential homes and commercial businesses that schedule donation pick-ups. This volunteer might also help in our receiving area where donation drop-offs are accepted.
Metal Recycling Tech
Recycling technicians salvage metal materials from various items that are unsellable, and test incoming donations such as light fixtures and power tools.
Sales Floor Assistant
Sales Floor Assistants price and stock donated items, answer questions on the sales floor, and ensure aisles are kept safe and presentable. This volunteer may also help in our receiving area where donation drop-offs are accepted.

All volunteers must pre-register. No walk-ups allowed.
**Age Restriction: Due to the environment in our ReStore, no one under the age of 14 is allowed to volunteer in our ReStore. Task and adult to youth ratio restrictions apply for those between 14-17 years of age. Please inquire to learn more.
